tec5USA is the North American partner for the FieldScan System from Yara (former Hydro Agri), Germany. This unique product for remote sensing / precision farming was developed and is manufactured by tec5 AG.

The FieldScan system offers an outstanding reliability: nearly half a thousand systems are in use all over the world without failure. This makes it one of the most important products in precission farming.

The Yara FieldScan is a ready-to-use multi-spectral scanning system for vehicle-based remote sensing e.g. for field-spectroscopy of agricultural crops or biomass detection / biomass mapping in general. It produces maps of spectral indices like NDVI, SAVI, Infrared-to-Red-Ratio and many others with high spatial resolution. In contrast to airborne or satellite images, the data of the tractor-based remote sensing system will be available independent of weather conditions whenever required. In areas with high probability of cloudy or overcast skies this is very important especially if management decisions have to be derived from the data.
