To operate a detector array or a detector array based spectrometer, at minimum a preamplifier (sometimes integrated into the spectrometer module) and a so-called Operating Electronics are required. The latter consits of the Front End Electronics with the Analog-to-Digital Converter and an Interface Board/Electronics.
